It states: “Printer ink pad is at the end of its service life.” This happens when the printer’s waste ink pad reaches its capacity, preventing further printing to avoid ink overflow. Solution 1: Reset the Waste Ink Counter Using Epson Adjustment Program
- Download the Epson Adjustment Program
- Search for the Epson L1300 Adjustment Program (WIC Reset Tool) online.
- Download and extract the tool on your computer. You can download it from Google Drive here for free.
- Run the Program
- Open the AdjProg.exe file inside the extracted folder.
- Click “Select”, choose your printer model (Epson L1300), and press OK.
- Reset the Waste Ink Counter
- Click on “Particular Adjustment Mode” and select “Waste Ink Pad Counter”.
- Check the boxes next to “Main Pad Counter” and click “Check” to see the waste ink percentage.
- Click “Initialize” to reset the counter.
- Restart the Printer
- Turn off the printer for a few seconds and then turn it back on.
- The error message should disappear, and your printer should work normally.

To reset the Epson printer, you can download software. This must be done when the Printer ink pad is at the end of its service life. Then install the software by right-clicking and running as administrator. Then go to => Particular adjustment mode

Then go to => Waste ink pad counter => OK

This step => Text box (Main pad counter) => click on Check

After clicking Check, you need to wait a few seconds till the point number shows up as below

Then go to click on => Initialize

It will run installation as below

Note: When you click on Initialize. If there are no errors, just click on Finish. Done. Then go to restart the printer by turning it off and on. If you see the error below, restart the printer’s USB. Do this by unplugging and plugging it back in. Then go to run software again as follow the step and Click Finish.

If you do not click Finish, go to Finish it. Done.

Now you can print a test page, if not clear, you should clean the printer head. ;
2. Go to Clean Printer Head
To clean the printer head, go to the printer sitting, => Printing Preferences


Maintenance => click Head Cleaning => Start


Now it is cleaning, maybe take some minutes to finish.

Once finished, you should print a test page again. This ensures it is going to work well.

Solution 2: Replace or Clean the Waste Ink Pad
If resetting does not work or ink is physically overflowing, you may need to replace the ink pad:
- Turn off and unplug the printer.
- Open the back panel (or bottom, depending on the model) to access the ink pad.
- Remove the old ink pad and clean it using a paper towel or cloth.
- Replace with a new pad or clean and dry the old one thoroughly.
- Reassemble the printer and reset the waste ink counter using the WIC Reset Tool as described above.
